Manulife Financial (MFC) reported quarterly earnings of $0.68 per share. This is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.63 per share and the earnings of $0.65 per share from a year ago. The company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates four times in the last four quarters.
Manulife posted revenues of $10.96 billion for the quarter, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 44.80%. While the stock has underperformed the market so far this year, the company’s current Zacks Rank is #3 (Hold).
BRP Group (BRP) is yet to report results for the quarter, but the consensus EPS estimate remains unchanged. The company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.11 per share, with revenues of $282 million, up 14.6% from the year-ago quarter. Over 50% of Zacks-ranked industries outperform the bottom 50% by a factor of more than 2 to 1.
