Retail sales of passenger vehicles in China, including sedans, MPVs, and SUVs, dropped by over 8% year-on-year to 2.23 million units in November 2025, according to the China Passenger Car Association. This marks the second consecutive month of decline, reflecting a somewhat saturated market. Overall passenger vehicle retail sales in China rose by 6.6% in the first eleven months of 2025, with new energy vehicle sales accounting for 53% of total sales. The Chinese government plans to reduce its NEV stimulus program at the end of the year, expecting a surge in sales in December.
