UK label producer, The Label Makers, has acquired First Choice Labels, a self-adhesive label specialist based in Redcar. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. This acquisition will enhance production capacity, technical capability, and service flexibility for both companies.

The Label Makers’ managing director, Zenna Parfaniuk, expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that First Choice Labels is a perfect fit due to their focus on quality, customer service, and client relationships. The merger will allow them to offer a wider range of self-adhesive solutions while maintaining premium standards.

First Choice Labels will retain its name and branding, operating from its current site in Redcar. All employees have been retained, and Colin Harbinson has been promoted to operations director after being with the company for over 19 years. The merger aims to strengthen quality and innovation for both companies.

The addition of First Choice Labels to The Label Makers’ portfolio will expand their self-adhesive offerings and provide greater production flexibility. This strategic acquisition aligns with their goal of enhancing product and service offerings for their customers.
