Nike was the best performing Dow component, up 1.4% in early trading, but has lost 9.2% year to date. On the other hand, Microsoft was the worst performer, down 0.8%, with a 13.8% gain year to date. Goldman Sachs Group dropped 0.4%, while UnitedHealth Group rose 1.4% on the day.
