Wheat prices continue to decline on Tuesday, with Chicago SRW futures down 9 to 11 3/4 cents and KC HRW futures down 6 to 7 cents. MPLS spring wheat is also down 2 to 3 cents. The Southern Plains are forecasted to remain dry for the next week, with up to an inch of precipitation expected. Speculative funds have increased their net short positions in CBT and KC wheat futures and options. The French farm ministry predicts an increase in soft wheat acreage for 2026, with EU soft wheat exports lagging behind last year. Prices for CBOT, KCBT, and MGEX wheat futures are all down.
