BeOne Medicines promoted Wang Lai to co-president, expanding his role from global head of R&D to oversee business development and alliances. He holds a bachelor’s from Fudan University and a PhD from the University of Texas Health Science Centre. Wang will work alongside Wu Xiaobin, who previously served at Pfizer China.

The company reported global revenue of US$3.8 billion in 2024, up from US$1.4 billion the previous year, driven by products like Brukinsa and Tevimbra. Brukinsa, a BTK inhibitor, achieved global sales of 18.7 billion yuan in 2024, while Tevimbra, a PD-1 antibody treatment, gained regulatory approvals in multiple countries.

BeOne Medicines, originally BeiGene, was founded in 2010 and went public on Nasdaq in 2016. It completed listings in Hong Kong and Shanghai. In November, amid US-China tensions, it rebranded to BeOne Medicines and moved its headquarters to Switzerland. The company had over 11,000 employees globally as of December 2024.
