Crypto firm Circle to end support for USDC stablecoin on Tron blockchain By Reuters

From Investing.com:

Major crypto firm Circle has announced that it will no longer support its USDC token on the Tron blockchain network, citing a need to ensure that USDC remains trusted, transparent, and safe. Stablecoins are digital tokens designed to keep a constant value and are backed by traditional currencies. This decision will affect $335 million worth of USDC on Tron. This comes after Circle terminated accounts held by Tron founder Justin Sun and his affiliated companies, who is facing a lawsuit from the SEC. Tron has come under fire for being a platform for crypto transfers linked to terror organizations. Despite this, Tron continues to move forward with its vision to become the world’s largest and most prosperous decentralized financial protocol. Retail and institutional clients can still transfer or redeem USDC on Tron until February 2025.
