Larvotto Resources has begun underground development at the Hillgrove antimony-gold project in NSW, Australia with PYBAR Mining Services. The project, owned by Larvotto, is strategically located with access to major transportation links. PYBAR’s full-service solution includes equipment, workforce, and safety supervision for the 20km underground development program.
Initial work is focused on the Metz zone with plans to move to the Garibaldi zone. Larvotto anticipates starting antimony and gold production at Hillgrove in 2026. The project aims to restart underground mining and supply ore to the processing plant. Larvotto’s managing director expressed satisfaction with the progress and integration of PYBAR into the site team.
PYBAR was appointed as the underground development contractor for the Hillgrove project last month. The development program covers decline, lateral development, rehabilitation, and ground support installation. With over 70 Larvotto employees and 80 third-party workers on-site, the project is moving into execution mode for production next year.
