LG Energy Solution has terminated a KRW 3.92 trillion electric vehicle battery supply contract with Freudenberg Battery Power Systems. The contract, in place since April 1, 2024, was supposed to run until December 31, 2031, but was ended early due to Freudenberg Battery Power Systems’ exit from the battery business. This termination represents a significant loss for LG Energy Solution.
