Indian shares opened the week with a mixed performance as investors awaited direction from global markets. The BSE Sensex was down 0.14% while the Nifty50 was down 0.1%. Adani Ports, Power Grid, and several other major stocks slipped, while Tata Steel and Hindustan Copper saw gains. Punjab National Bank opened lower after reporting a fraud of over Rs 2,000 crore. NBCC is up over 2% following a land settlement in Delhi. Coforge rose after announcing the acquisition of AI firm Encora. Market breadth was weak, with more stocks falling than rising.
