NVIDIA and Intel announced a strategic collaboration to develop custom data center and PC products for AI workloads. NVIDIA will invest $5 billion in Intel stock at $23.28 per share. The partnership aims to expand ecosystems and offer next-gen computing solutions for data center and PC markets.
Intel will create NVIDIA-custom x86 CPUs for data centers, integrated into NVIDIA’s AI platforms. For personal computing, Intel will produce x86 SoCs with NVIDIA RTX GPU chiplets for high-performance PCs. The collaboration will focus on connecting NVIDIA and Intel architectures with NVLink technology.
In pre-market trading, NVIDIA is down 1.17% at $188.30 on the Nasdaq. The collaboration between NVIDIA and Intel aims to enhance AI and accelerated computing capabilities for data centers and PCs.
