Caiman-1 well spudded on July 21, 2025, safely plugged and abandoned on December 6, 2025. Results encouraging, will inform further appraisal and development studies for Block 52.
Drilled in western part of Block 52, covering 4,750 sq km in water depths of 60-1,000 meters. Located 140 km off Suriname’s coast, part of the Guyana-Suriname Basin attracting international interest.
Suriname supported drilling operations locally, with materials supplied from Paramaribo. Crew changes and transport via Suriname, boosting local content participation and business opportunities.
