Meta’s Zuckerberg in South Korea, expected to discuss AI

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg arrived in South Korea to discuss artificial intelligence and meet with President Yoon Suk Yeol and tech leaders. He plans to ramp up AI efforts with custom chips and integrating AI into products, including meeting with Samsung and LG executives. Zuckerberg’s first visit to South Korea in 10 years.

During his visit, Zuckerberg is expected to talk about AI chip supply and expanding generative AI ecosystems. Meta plans to deploy a new custom chip in data centers this year and secure 350,000 GPUs from Nvidia to support AI initiatives. Zuckerberg’s tour includes Japan and India as well.

Zuckerberg’s discussions in South Korea will focus on Meta’s AI push, including plans for custom chips and generative AI technology in social media products and hardware devices. The visit includes meetings with Samsung and LG leaders to collaborate on advancing AI capabilities within their respective industries.
