In the final stretch of earnings season, large cap companies surprise analysts with +3.9% YoY growth, beating projections and showing signs of a strong recovery. Small cap firms, however, continue to struggle with negative growth as 7 out of 11 sectors see declines, reflecting in their -1% YTD returns. Analysts project a rebound for small and mid-cap earnings in the second half of 2024, potentially boosting performance as the year progresses.
