Peter Zaffino, Chairman & CEO of AIG, will transition to Executive Chair and retire as CEO by mid-year. Eric Andersen, an insurance industry veteran, will join as President and CEO-elect on February 16, 2026, expected to become CEO after June 1, 2026. Zaffino led AIG through a turnaround since March 2021. Andersen joins from Aon, where he was a strategic advisor to the President and CEO, with nearly three decades of leadership experience at Aon. The AIG Board conducted a search to ensure a smooth transition and long-term performance for the company.
