Insmed shares were the best performing on the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 4.9% in early trading on Friday. Year to date, Insmed has gained 2.6%. On the other hand, Strategy was the worst performing component, trading down 2.7% with a year to date gain of 6.9%.

Qualcomm and Lam Research also made moves, with Qualcomm trading down 2.6% and Lam Research trading up 4.4% on the day. These companies are part of the Nasdaq 100 index and their performance impacts the overall index movements.
