Less-than-truckload carrier Estes Express Lines increased its door count by 9% in 2025, with plans to reach over 14,000 doors by the end of 2026. The expansion included opening new terminals, expanding existing ones, and relocating facilities. The company’s network capacity grew by 1,038 doors, a 8.7% increase year-over-year.

Estes has seen a 32% increase in door count over the past 5 years, part of a growth campaign to enhance capacity, reliability, and opportunities for employees and customers. The carrier also invested in new tractors, trailers, and technology to improve efficiency and reduce costs, earning top marks for “best value.”

Estes’ real estate acquisitions from Yellow Corp. in 2023 were valued at nearly $250 million, but subsequent transactions have pushed the total investment higher. Other carriers like Knight-Swift Transportation, Saia, and XPO have also been acquiring Yellow’s properties. Estes operates thousands of next-day lanes with a large fleet and staff.

Estes Express Lines continues to expand its network and operations, positioning itself for future growth and success in the freight industry. With a focus on efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction, the company’s investments in infrastructure and technology have paid off, earning recognition for its value and service quality.
