Amazon’s (AMZN) AWS Picked by NTT DOCOMO, Boosts Clientele

Amazon continues to dominate with its cloud computing arm, AWS, gaining 91.8% in a year. NTT DOCOMO selected AWS to deploy its nationwide 5G RAN in Japan, integrating Amazon EKS and Graviton Processors. Expanding its customer base, AWS generated $24.2 billion in Q4 2023, instilling investor optimism.

Owkin and Choice Hotels International also chose AWS, showcasing its strong cloud capabilities. AWS accounted for 31% of the global cloud market, outperforming Microsoft and Google. With AWS’s growing clientele and expanding portfolio, Amazon maintains a competitive edge and investor trust.

The data center and cloud region expansion by Microsoft’s Azure and Google Cloud of Alphabet enhance their cloud positions. Microsoft reported $25.9 billion in Intelligent Cloud revenues, while Google Cloud contributed significantly to Alphabet’s total revenues. These tech giants continue to drive innovation and growth in the cloud sector.
