Meta Platforms Inc. is planning to cut over 1,000 jobs from its Reality Labs division to focus on AI wearables and phone features, redirecting resources from virtual reality and metaverse products.

Chief Technology Officer Andrew Bosworth will notify affected employees of the layoffs starting Tuesday morning, as part of Meta’s restructuring plans.
