Soybean prices are down 9 to 13 cents as traders analyze the USDA report. Cash bean price is $9.80 1/4. Soymeal futures are down $4.20-4.60, while Soy Oil futures are up 80 to 85 points. 33 deliveries were issued against soybeans on Friday night, with 2 for January bean meal.
USDA reported soybean export shipments at 1.529 MMT during the week ending January 8, with China as the top destination. Marketing year exports for 2025/26 are 17.934 MMT since September 1, 42.7% lower than last year.
NASS soybean yield is 53 bpa with harvested acreage at 80.4 million acres. Production increased by 9 mbu to 4.262 bbu.
WASDE data adjusted production, exports, and crush numbers. US ending stock number increased by 60 mbu to 350 mbu.
December 1 soybean stocks were at 3.29 bbu, 190 mbu larger than last year.
AgRural estimated Brazilian soybean crop at 0.6% harvested, with USDA raising production to 178 MMT.
Soybean prices on Jan 26 are at $10.36 1/4, nearby cash is at $9.80 1/4, Mar 26 soybeans are at $10.53, and May 26 soybeans are at $10.65 1/4.
