Soybeans are trading lower on Tuesday morning following Monday’s losses of 7 to 15 ½ cents. Cash Bean prices dropped to $9.76 1/2. Crop Production data showed a soybean yield of 53 bpa and production of 4.262 bbu. USDA adjusted exports down to 1.575 bbu and raised Brazilian production to 178 MMT.
USDA reported soybean export shipments at 1.529 MMT, with China as the top destination. President Trump threatened a 25% tariff on countries doing business with Iran, particularly targeting China. Sinograin sold 1.1 MMT of soybeans from Chinese state reserves. Soybean futures closed lower on Tuesday, with Jan 26 Soybeans at $10.33.
