Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) has introduced DriveWell Fleet, a telematics product to enhance pricing and underwriting decisions for commercial motor insurance. The product allows insurers to utilize driving data from connected vehicles and proprietary hardware, addressing gaps in coverage and data consistency. Less than 5% of commercial motor policies currently use telematics data, despite many vehicles generating data through third-party providers. DriveWell Fleet offers standard driving data access through a BYOD model and integrates with various TSPs for connected fleets. This launch aims to provide insurers with more accurate risk insights and streamline the pricing process for commercial motor portfolios.
