Nemo Group has sold a majority stake in Driade, acquired in October 2024, to Spain’s Kettal Group. Nemo will remain a minority shareholder, preserving Italian craftsmanship. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Kettal aims to relaunch Driade with a “Mediterranean-centered vision of design.” Driade was founded in 1968 in Milan by Enrico Astori, Antonia Astori, and Adelaide Acerbi, with designers like Enzo Mari and Nanda Vigo. Kettal, known for outdoor furniture, plans to enhance Driade’s global competitiveness. CEO Alex Alorda emphasizes collaboration and innovation in this acquisition. The acquisition marks Nemo Group’s first foray into the furniture world. The partnership aims to overcome geographical and cultural barriers to promote a culture of design.
