ELITE Solar has opened a new 5GW PV manufacturing facility in Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone, with 2GW for solar cell production and 3GW for module assembly to supply global clients. Egypt’s Prime Minister attended the commissioning ceremony, emphasizing the site’s role in renewable energy goals and industrial growth.
The facility in Ain Sokhna aims to support workforce development and enhance the region’s involvement in clean energy supply networks. ELITE Solar USA CEO highlighted the use of advanced N-type technology and integrated production for consistent quality and market reliability. The company hosted industry partners for discussions on supply chain coordination and future collaboration.
ELITE Solar’s global expansion strategy includes regional manufacturing in key markets like the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and North America. Established in 2005 and headquartered in Singapore, with a presence in the US, the company operates integrated facilities in Vietnam and Indonesia.
