GM cuts Chevy Blazer EV price as sales restart after software issues
From CNBC:
General Motors is reducing the price of the Chevrolet Blazer EV by thousands of dollars as sales resume after fixing software issues. The 2024 model will start at $50,195, excluding a $7,500 federal tax credit. The issues were software-related and have been resolved without physical changes to the vehicle, strengthening GM’s software testing processes. GM will not reimplement Apple CarPlay in the Blazer or future vehicles, choosing to focus on internal systems for a better customer experience. The company aims to increase revenue through potential infotainment subscriptions and services, projecting $20-25 billion annually by the end of the decade. The 2024 Blazer EV models have been reduced in price, making them more comparable to gas-powered vehicles and potentially boosting EV adoption rates.
