Waymo secures $16 billion in new funding, with a post-money valuation of $126 billion. Majority investor Alphabet leads the round, with support from Dragoneer Investment Group, DST Global, and Sequoia Capital, among others.

With a safety record of 127 million miles of autonomous driving, Waymo sees a 90% reduction in serious injury crashes compared to human drivers. The company tripled its annual ride volume to 15 million in 2025 and now provides over 400,000 rides per week in six major U.S. cities, aiming to expand to 20 new markets by 2026.
