Haelixa, a company specializing in DNA-based traceability technology, recently secured $2.3 million in funding led by Verve Ventures and Zurich Kantonalbank, with participation from 212 NexT Fund. The company’s DNA marker technology verifies product origin, enhancing traceability and compliance in sectors like textiles and gemstones.
The funding will support team growth, product expansion, and collaboration with textile brands. Haelixa aims to address supply chain transparency issues by scientifically verifying product authenticity, reducing risks for brands. The company plans to scale globally and introduce anti-counterfeiting measures to provide value for luxury brands.
Spun out of ETH Zurich, Haelixa has achieved commercial success, generating significant revenue and forming agreements with major fashion brands. In partnership with New Focus Textiles, Haelixa provides proof of recycled cotton content. Additionally, TextileGenesis integrated Haelixa’s DNA certificates into its traceability platform, offering suppliers forensic traceability documents.
