Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. reported a drop in profit and sales revenues in the first nine months of fiscal 2025, leading to a reduced outlook for the year due to decreased automobile production. Net income fell by 40.1% to 22.6 billion yen, with operating income down by 18.3% to 54.6 billion yen. Sales revenues also declined by 9% to 1.22 trillion yen. For fiscal 2025, the company projects higher net income at 42 billion yen and increased operating income at 87 billion yen, but with lower sales revenues at 1.68 trillion yen. Japan’s shares fell by 3.5% to 2,300.00 yen.
