Sales of AI chips to China helped, but without them, data-center estimates would have been missed. Revenue for the upcoming quarter is expected to be around $9.8 billion, lower than the previous quarter but still ahead of expectations. AMD’s forecast pales in comparison to Nvidia’s strong performance. AMD CEO Lisa Su remains optimistic about sales in China and plans to compete by selling full AI systems.
