Osisko Metals Incorporated announces the first results following the reevaluation of the Porphyry deposit on the Copper Mines Gaspé project, discovered in 1994. The deep porphyry exploration project aims to define inferred resources for the Cu-Mo deposit by the end of 2026, with drilling programs and new modeling. The project will run separately from ongoing resource evaluation at the CMG project. The reevaluation of historical drill cores from the 30-0943 drill hole showed an average of 0.70% Cu, 2.92 g/t Ag, and 0.062% Mo over 852.0 meters, confirming previous results and indicating the depth potential of the deposit. Osisko Metals’ CEO, Robert Wares, stated that these promising results will kick off the DPEX 2026 resource evaluation program at Mount Porphyry. The program will involve deep drilling targeting the deposit and detailed reanalysis of historical drill cores to unveil the full potential of the deposit, aiming for the publication of a first inferred resource estimate for Mount Porphyry by the end of 2026. The Porphyry deposit was discovered by Noranda in 1994, located about 1100 meters northeast of the center of the Copper Mountain pit at the CMG project. The upper limit of the deposit is at depths of approximately 1000 to 1200 meters. The porphyry-style Cu-Mo vein mineralization at Mount Porphyry has been defined by historical drilling over a vertical length of at least 680 meters. The deposit remains open at depth, with higher average copper and molybdenum grades compared to the Copper Mountain deposit at CMG. Osisko Metals follows a rigorous quality assurance and quality control program in the handling, sampling, and analysis of drill cores to ensure accurate results. The company is focused on creating value in the critical metals sector, particularly copper and zinc, with projects like the Copper Mines Gaspé and the Pine Point project in the Northwest Territories. The Pine Point project is one of the largest historic zinc mining camps in Canada and is strategically located near existing infrastructure.
