Xiaomi unveiled its long-awaited electric car on March 28 but did not disclose the price or exact release date. The company launched the SU7 model and stated it would be available right after the launch. The vehicle’s features and design were showcased in late December. Xiaomi opened waitlists in 29 Chinese cities.

Xiaomi aims to cater to the premium segment with its electric car. The company’s president mentioned that deliveries could commence in the second quarter. While the vehicle was showcased at Mobile World Congress Barcelona, Xiaomi does not anticipate selling the car overseas for another two to three years.
