YouTube TV is launching new subscription plans allowing viewers to choose smaller, cheaper channel bundles instead of one all-inclusive package. More than 10 curated plans will be available, including Sports, News, Entertainment, and Family options. Subscribers will still have access to core features like unlimited cloud DVR and can customize with add-ons.
The new Sports Plan offers major broadcast networks and sports channels like ESPN at a discounted rate. A Sports + News tier combines live sports with national news outlets, while the Entertainment Plan focuses on movies and comedy channels. Another bundle merges news, entertainment, and family-friendly programming for varied viewing needs.
Despite the new plans, the standard YouTube TV package will still be available. The company aims to provide customers with more control, flexibility, and value while keeping everything on one streaming platform. GOOGL closed at $324.32 on Monday and is trading after hours at $325.03 on the NasdaqGS.
