Professional services firm AAB has agreed to merge with UK accountancy and business advisory practice Kreston Reeves, creating a group with over £200m ($273m) in annual revenue. AAB CEO Emma Lancaster emphasizes the focus on building a sustainable business for long-term value. Kreston Reeves has 7 offices and 550 employees.

The deal, backed by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, reflects industry consolidation and competitive pressures. The combination will enable further investment in staff, technology, and services for clients. AAB will expand its presence in London and the South East, with Kreston Reeves serving as its regional hub. The merger will create a group with over 1,800 employees in 23 locations.

Kreston Reeves managing partner Richard Spofforth sees the merger as a significant milestone, offering new opportunities for employees and clients. The transaction is pending regulatory approval and is expected to close in spring 2026. The focus is on delivering value to clients, people, and communities, not just pursuing growth for growth’s sake.
