Cotton futures are up 59 to 69 points at midday, with crude oil futures up $1.28 per barrel. Spec traders added 6,717 contracts to their net short position, totaling 71,746 contracts net short in cotton futures and options.
The Seam reported 3,066 bales sold on 2/6 at an average of 58.61 cents/lb. ICE certified cotton stocks rose by 18,564 bales on February 6, with certified stocks at 93,561 bales. The Adjusted World Price dropped 42 points to 49.78 cents/lb last Thursday.
