Chipotle is set to test a happy hour offering called Happier Hour. CEO Scott Boatwright hints at a menu under $10 to attract customers during the middle of the day. The company recently gave away $1 million in free food and plans more promotions. However, Chipotle’s sales outlook for 2026 disappointed investors, with a 2.5% drop in fourth-quarter same-store sales. Despite a strong start to the first quarter, Chipotle’s stock is down 32% in the past year compared to McDonald’s 6% gain. To boost sales, Chipotle will introduce limited-time offerings like chicken al pastor and a $3.95 grilled chicken bowl to attract cost-conscious consumers. JPMorgan analyst John Ivankoe expects a positive traffic trend to improve the company’s outlook.
