PC Oman Ventures, a Petronas subsidiary, signs a concession agreement with Oman’s government and OQEP to explore oil and gas resources in Block 18, covering over 21,000km². Petronas will operate Block 18 in partnership with OQEP, aiming to develop hydrocarbon resources and enhance collaboration in Oman. The agreement builds on a 2025 MOU between Petronas and OQEP. Petronas plans to leverage its offshore exploration experience with OQEP’s regional knowledge to unlock Block 18’s potential. In related news, Petronas recently entered a 20-year LNG sale and purchase agreement with QatarEnergy, marking their first long-term deal.
