Trump Media & Technology Group files paperwork for two new ETFs linked to major cryptocurrencies with the SEC. The Truth Social Bitcoin and Ether ETF, as well as the Truth Social Cronos Yield Maximizer ETF, are planned pending SEC review, with a 0.95% management fee through Crypto.com.
The proposed ETFs aim to track BTC, ETH, and CRO with staking rewards. The Bitcoin and Ether fund will follow the performance of the two largest cryptocurrencies and capture staking rewards from Ether. The Cronos Yield Maximizer ETF will track CRO’s performance and include staking income.
Trump Media, known for Truth Social, has explored crypto initiatives. In 2021, they partnered with Crypto.com and Yorkville America Digital to launch “Made in America” ETFs. In September, they agreed to accumulate CRO tokens with Crypto.com. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen weeks of outflows, with $360M withdrawn recently. Data shows negative flows since late January, with large withdrawals and smaller positive sessions.
Overall, Trump Media’s move into cryptocurrency ETFs is a significant step, with potential benefits for investors looking to diversify into digital assets. Investors will be watching closely as these new ETFs develop and potentially provide opportunities for capital appreciation and income.
