Investors in Tesla have a new concern: potential competition for Optimus, Tesla’s humanoid robot, from a robotics start-up called Figure. Elon Musk has praised Optimus, but Figure’s Figure One robot, powered by OpenAI, is making waves. The market for humanoid robots is uncertain, making it tough to value Optimus. Musk’s AI projects and ownership structure add to investor uncertainty as Tesla stock drops 30% this year. Shares slightly up in premarket trading Friday.
