Nvidia Unveils Next-gen Blackwell AI Superchip

Chipmaker Nvidia Corp. has introduced its next-gen AI superchip Blackwell GPU, 30x faster than its predecessor, to meet rising AI chip demand globally. Nvidia shares tumbled 3% to $858.20 pre-market on Nasdaq. CEO Huang unveiled the NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD at GTC conference, a trillion-parameter model supercomputer. The Blackwell platform is endorsed by major tech giants and cloud providers worldwide. Huang introduced new software tools NIM microservices and Omniverse Cloud APIs. NVIDIA accelerates computing with the Blackwell platform for sustainable AI infrastructure.

NVIDIA announced the Blackwell platform, powered by the NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchips, connecting Blackwell GPUs to the Grace CPU for trillion-parameter models. The company is collaborating with TSMC and Synopsys for breakthrough computational lithography platform in semiconductor design and manufacturing. NVIDIA Earth Climate Digital Twin cloud platform accelerates climate and weather prediction with high-res simulation. Over two dozen new microservices for healthcare enterprises to leverage latest generative AI advances. In telecom, NVIDIA advances to the next communications era with 6G Research Cloud powered by generative AI and Omniverse. Omniverse Cloud APIs to stream digital twins into VR headsets for interactive industrial applications. BYD selects NVIDIA’s next-gen computer for autonomous vehicle EV fleets, using DRIVE Thor.
