OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s stake in Reddit increased by $200 million to over $613 million after the social media company’s IPO launch. His 7.6% share is second only to Advance Magazine Publishers and Tencent. Altman cannot sell the shares for six months. Altman previously invested $60 million in Reddit, relieving some pressure from his role at OpenAI. Despite controversy at OpenAI, Altman earned about $73,500 in 2022 and says he isn’t motivated by money.
