UK retail sales up, FTSE 100 near record high, US stocks hit all-time high

Better than expected retail sales last month indicate Britain’s economy is rebounding. Sales were flat in February, but online purchases, especially for clothing, increased due to wet weather. Meanwhile, the yuan fell sharply, dragging down markets in Asia. US stocks hit record highs, led by chipmakers, with the S&P 500 setting a new all-time high.
