Elon Musk’s xAI introduces Grok 1.5 as its next-generation language model, aiming to rival OpenAI’s GPT-4. Musk also teased Grok 2, currently in training, expected to surpass all current AI metrics. This announcement follows OpenAI’s plans to release an unnamed model later this year. OpenAI is reportedly demoing GPT-5 to businesses, receiving positive feedback on its performance.

In a blog post, xAI detailed the features of Grok 1.5, including improved reasoning capabilities and a 128,000 token context length, on par with GPT-4 Turbo. The language model achieved high scores on math benchmarks, demonstrating its capabilities. Grok 1.5 will be available on xAI next week for users to experience.
