Goldman Sachs helps its clients launch ETFs

Investor demand for ETFs remains high as Goldman Sachs COO Steve Sachs warns firms without offerings may lose business. The firm’s ETF Accelerator, launched in 2022, helps clients launch and manage their own ETFs in response to demand following SEC Rule 6c-11 in 2019.
Goldman Sachs’ ETF Accelerator has facilitated the launch of five ETFs, including the most recent Eagle Capital Management’s Select Equity ETF (EAGL). Clients like GMO and Brandes have used the platform to avoid the time and cost of launching independently, seizing the opportunity to deliver their strategies in ETF form.
Sachs emphasizes the benefits of utilizing Goldman’s expertise through the accelerator, enabling clients to enter the ETF market faster and more cost-effectively than they could on their own. Despite the time and resources needed to launch an ETF, not offering these products may result in the loss of assets to competitors.
