Caledonia Mining Corporation has reported a 6% increase in gold production at the Blanket Mine in Zimbabwe for the first quarter of 2024. Despite 8 fewer production days compared to Q1 2023, the company produced over 17,000 ounces of gold and sold 18,450 ounces, a 17% increase from the previous year.

The company’s CEO, Mark Learmonth, expressed satisfaction with the strong start to 2024 production at Blanket Mine. Caledonia’s significant investment in the mine has nearly doubled production, extended the mine life, and allowed for the restart of underground exploration. With high gold prices, the company aims to become a multi-asset gold producer.

Caledonia Mining Corporation reiterates its 2024 gold production guidance at Blanket Mine of 74,000 to 78,000 ounces. The company’s Vice President, Craig James Harvey, has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in the news release. The information provided is deemed to be inside information under the Market Abuse Regulation as disclosed by the company.
