OpenAI has fired two members of its safety team for allegedly leaking information. The two researchers include Leopold Aschenbrenner, a close associate of OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever. The Information reported internal strikes and grievances within the company, leading to Sam Altman’s forced exit last November and subsequent reinstatement as CEO after an investigation. Aschenbrenner, a prodigy, previously worked with Future Fund and FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.

OpenAI unveiled GPT-4 Turbo, a new generative AI model that can generate fully functional websites with real code. The model, available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers and through API, uses training data up to December 2023. GPT-4 Turbo can also analyze images, understand content, context, and produce meaningful output.
