OpenAI is expanding its global presence with a new office in Tokyo, led by former Amazon executive Tadao Nagasaki. The office will focus on global affairs and product development. OpenAI also released a customized version of GPT-4 for the Japanese language, which is faster and more efficient. Several Japanese companies are already using the new model. OpenAI plans to make it broadly available in the coming months through its API. Additionally, Toyota and Rakuten are among the Japanese organizations utilizing OpenAI’s products.
