Honda Motor and joint venture partners plan to invest $11 billion in Ontario, Canada to create a comprehensive EV value chain. The new North American electric vehicle epicenter in Alliston will have annual capacity of 240,000 units by 2028. Honda aims to offer only all-electric and fuel cell-powered vehicles by 2040. The investment is for future increase in EV demand in North America and expected to create 1,000 new jobs. The Canadian government is providing assistance and tax credits to Honda.
