Tech stocks saw gains on Monday, with XLK up 0.5% and XSD up 1.9%, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 0.6%. Apple’s iPad operating system was labeled a gatekeeper under the EU’s Digital Markets Act, boosting Apple shares by 3.2%.

Meta Platforms, owner of Facebook and Instagram, faces an EU probe for not doing enough to combat disinformation, causing its shares to drop by 2.2%. Auddia shares fell by 4% after closing a private placement to meet the Nasdaq’s equity requirement for listing.
