Goldman Sachs is reportedly discussing transferring its General Motors credit-card program to Barclays. Barclays is the top candidate to take over the $2 billion in outstanding balances, with a deal potentially being struck by this summer. Other suitors considered were U.S. Bancorp and Bread Financial. Goldman had planned to end the co-branded credit cards with GM in November. The credit-card program, launched in 2022, allows customers to earn points towards buying or leasing GM cars.
