Microsoft has made GPT-4 Turbo with Vision available for Azure OpenAI Service customers after launching a public preview in 2023. The model is being used by customers to improve processes, enhance efficiencies, and innovate across various industries such as retail and media. Some features from the preview model are not yet available in the generally available version.

The company plans to add JSON mode and function calling for inference requests with image inputs to the new model. Pricing for GPT-4 Turbo with Vision in Azure OpenAI Service will be $0.01 per 1000 tokens for Input and $0.03 per 1000 tokens for Output, with varying pricing for enhanced features.

Microsoft has introduced a new “Risks & safety monitoring” feature in Azure OpenAI Service to provide businesses with real-time insights into their AI systems. This feature helps companies detect potential abuse or risks, such as hacking attempts, to their AI systems, ensuring better security and performance.
